man crush

i seem to get crushes quite frequently. they vary from completely inappropriate to absolutely splendid. my latest obsession revolves around a younger man on american idol - lee dewyze. i think he might just be my perfect match. let's discuss the reasons why:

1. his baby blues + my baby blues = more baby blues
2. his raspy voice makes me swoon
3. he always has the right amount of scruff on his face - enough to look like a man, yet not too much to ruin a good cuddle session
4. i really dig his singer-songwriter vibe
5. his sideways smile lets me know he's just mischievous enough
6. he has no idea how handsome he really is
7. peg approves - enough said

sweet ellen featured this old mickey mouse clubber last week on her show. i couldn't place the crooner until google images reminded me of the mousketeer.  soon after he sang, he was back for round two and this time, my lovah (jt) was with him.  oh ladies, just when jt couldn't get any hotter, he brings his little friend along with him to share the spotlight.  

next, we move onto friday night. i thought my night was headed towards boredom.  then i remembered the hope for haiti benefit was on and there the charmers were again.  if you do nothing else today, download their version of "hallelujah" on itunes.

local treasure

i discovered this band last friday night while strolling through the apple store in clarendon. i originally went into the store to look at laptops, but instead found myself hooked on this five-man-band's melodies. the lead singer's voice makes my heart melt. the sound combo of soul, pop, rock, gospel, and blues is gonna get you too. i just know it.

i love music and especially love finding new, genuine music. these guys hit the mark on - a truly authentic sound. check them out on itunes, myspace, and even youtube. music to my ears and hopefully, yours too.

i like trouble

your favorite crooner and mine announced some new fall tour dates.
