man crush

i seem to get crushes quite frequently. they vary from completely inappropriate to absolutely splendid. my latest obsession revolves around a younger man on american idol - lee dewyze. i think he might just be my perfect match. let's discuss the reasons why:

1. his baby blues + my baby blues = more baby blues
2. his raspy voice makes me swoon
3. he always has the right amount of scruff on his face - enough to look like a man, yet not too much to ruin a good cuddle session
4. i really dig his singer-songwriter vibe
5. his sideways smile lets me know he's just mischievous enough
6. he has no idea how handsome he really is
7. peg approves - enough said

sweet ellen featured this old mickey mouse clubber last week on her show. i couldn't place the crooner until google images reminded me of the mousketeer.  soon after he sang, he was back for round two and this time, my lovah (jt) was with him.  oh ladies, just when jt couldn't get any hotter, he brings his little friend along with him to share the spotlight.  

next, we move onto friday night. i thought my night was headed towards boredom.  then i remembered the hope for haiti benefit was on and there the charmers were again.  if you do nothing else today, download their version of "hallelujah" on itunes.

class act

i was so impressed with conan on friday night.  the whole mess got a bit out of hand and yet, conan bowed out one last time with more grace and more class than i think anyone expected.

"all i ask is one thing, and i’m asking this particularly of young people that watch. please do not be cynical. i hate cynicism, for the record, it’s my least favorite quality. it doesn’t lead anywhere. nobody in life gets exactly what they thought they were going to get. but if you work really hard, and you’re kind, amazing things will happen."

funny honies

there are two comedic goddesses of our time - well at least sis's and my time. kathy griffin and chelsea handler.

we saw kathy's show last year at madison square garden and it surpassed all expectations.  and now it's chelsea's turn to tour it up.  she announced yesterday her 21 city tour is ramping up and tickets go on sale today.  one last thing - the show is called the 'chelsea chelsea bang bang tour.' already LOLing.  hopefully, she is on her way to see you.

sis - ET phone home.

sis is on vacation this week. and i miss her. and it's really hard to keep this thing up without her. hence why i knew i could never pull off my very own blog. it's a lot of work.

cheesy as it may be, sis is more than just your average sister. she the ultimate best friend. she is the kick in my butt. and she is my daily dose of sunshine. and this got me thinking - there should be a national holiday for sisters.

call it sis day. i need a date. any suggestions?

i'm sure all my other favorite sisters of the world would back me up on this.
